It is known that late AP Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy coined the term 'yellow media' to take a dig at Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy Telugu newspapers for blindly supporting 'yellow party' TDP and Chandrababu Naidu and taking up false propaganda against Congress during his regime beween 2004 and 2009.
Now his son and AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy went a step ahead and issued legal notices to Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy, for publishing the allegations leveled by TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu against Jagan government.
Chandrababu recently addressed two press meets and leveled serious allegations against Jagan government.
The first one was that Jagan government extended limestone mining lease to Saraswathi power industries limited by 50 years against the norms just because the company is owned by Jagan's family.
The second one was that Jagan government awarded contract of making and supply gunny bags for transportation of rice to a firm owned by Jagan's family without inviting tenders.
Since they were press meets, all newspapers carried them. The TV news channels are telecasted them, some channels even telecasted live Chandrababu's press meets.
Surprisingly, Jagan government issued legal notices to Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy newspapers only.
Notices were issued to Eenanu, Andhra Jyothy owners Ramoji Rao, Radhakrishna asking them to tender public apology within 15 days or face civil, criminal cases in courts.
