The central government on Saturday, August 29, 2020 issued Unlock 4.0 guidelines lifting lockdown curbs on several activities across India.

But Unlock 4.0 guidelines banned opening of schools, colleges and coaching centres till September 30, 2020 across India.

The central government orders stated that the decision to impose ban on schools, colleges, coaching centres till September 30 was taken after wide consultations with state government as a mass congregation of students at schools, colleges, coaching centres might lead to coronavirus and risk the lives of students.

Lakhs of students and parents of JEE Main, NEET students are questioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UMHRD minister Ramesh Pokhiryal to explain the rationale behind holding JEE Main 2020 and NEET 2020 entrance exams in September for which over 30 lakh students have registered their names.
