Looks like star actress and Telangana Congress leader Vijayashanthi seem to be desperate to join BJP.
If we look at the statements being issued by Vijayashanthi in recent times in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP, it appears that she is planning to quit Congress and join BJP.
On Tuesday, Vijayashanthi came down heavily on her once political mentor, TRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for criticising Modi on Rs 20 crore PM's package.
KCR on Monday lashed out at Modi's package as 'bogus' and alleged that Modi was forcing states at knife point to implement his orders on power sector reforms to avail increased FRBM limit by state governments to secure more loans.
countered KCR that it's KCR who threatens his political opponents at knife point, force Opposition MPs, MLAs, MLCs to join TRS and now KCR is experiencing the same pain now.
Vijayashanthi also questioned KCR to explain why he was opposing 'one nation-one powergrid' concept of Modi, when he implemented Modi's 'one nation-one ration card' in Telangana even before Modi asked for.
Vijayashanthi said all these instances show that KCR is in utter confusion and to divert people's attention to cover up his failures, he was criticising Modi.
Vijayashanthi's outburst surprised even BJP leaders who could not counter KCR as effectively as her.
Congress leaders suspect that with these statements Vijayshanthi is trying to re-enter BJP, where she started her political career in 1997. She quit BJP in 2005, set up her own party "Talli Telangana" to fight for statehood for Telangana, later joined hands with KCR and merged her party into TRS. She won Medak Lok Sabha seat from TRS in 2009. She quit TRS in 2014 just before Assembly polls and joined Congress but lost Medak Assembly seat.
