University of Hyderabad (UoH) Final Year students promoted without exams! UG, PG students get grades
The University of Hyderabad (UoH) has decided to promote all the final year students of various under graduate (UG) and post graduate (PG) courses without examinations.
This would mean that all the final year students will get course completion certificates without appearing for exams.
The decision was taken in the wake of rising corona cases in Hyderabad since June 1 due to which the university is not in a position to conduct exams.
The university has awarded grades to all the students. 50% of the total marks awarded were determined based on the average performance in previous semester exams.
For the rest 50% marks, the performance in internal marks was taken into consideration.
With this, students who performed well in previous semester exams and internal exams secured higher grades.
UoH officials justified this model of awarding grades saying that this will ensure justice for all students.
It is also beneficial for students who want to pursue higher education courses or opt for jobs as they would not have to wait longer for appearing for exams, announcement of results and award of certificates.
