Telangana students are leading the country in fighting against UGC's fresh guidelines on conducting final semester exams for under graduate (UG) and post graduate (PG) courses by September-end despite coronavirus is spreading fast across the country.

Student are expressing ire at the UGC and the central government for deciding to hold final semester exams risking the lives of students at a time when corona cases are witnessing steep increase across the country.
They are demanding the UGC and central government to leave the decision on exams to respective state goverments.
They said several states have already decided to cancel exams and majority of the states are in favour of cancelling the exams. At a time when state governments were announcing cancellation of exams, the central government and UGC guidelines became a stumbling block.
The Telangana government will make its stand clear on UG, PG exams in the High Court on Thursday, July 9, 2020, when the petition seeking cancellation of exams will come up for hearing in the court.
