The Telangana state government has revised eligibility norms for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET 2022) to be held on June 12, 2022.
The government has made 50% marks mandatory in Intermediate and Degree exams for general candidates appearing for TET.
This rule is applicable to those candidates who completed Intermediate and Degree before December 2015.
For BC, SC, ST and physically challenged students, 45% marks are mandatory.
Minimum 45% in Inter are mandatory for those candidates appearing for TET Paper-1 Exams and 50% marks in Degree are mandatory for those candidates appearing for Paper-2 Exams.
Those who failed to secure these minimum marks are not eligible to appear for TET exam.
Earlier, this rule was not there.
Those who passed prior to 2015, a minimum of 45% marks is enough for general candidates and 40% marks for other candidates.
Over 4,000 candidates applied for TET on the first day of acceptance of applications online on March 26.
