It was just a 'one side war' for ruling TRS in Telangana in all the elections since the formation of Telangana State in June 2014.
There was no Opposition at all for TRS for six years. But BJP recently showed TRS what 'election defeat' is in the recent Dubbak Assembly bypoll.
BJP ensured that the downfall of TRS in Telangana started in none other than CM KCR and minister T Harish Rao's home district Siddipet (which was part of Undivided Medak district).
This defeat of TRS at the hands of BJP has led to intense debate in Telangana that the downfall of TRS in Telangana which started in Dubbak will be complete in upcoming GHMC polls expected in December 2020 (next month).
Political observers say BJP is all set to crush TRS in GHMC polls as TRS government is facing severe anti incumbency and people in Hyderabad are very angry at the TRS government for its pathetic handling of recent floods in Hyderabad.
Despite giving TRS a bumper majority of 99 seats out of 159 in 2016 GHMC polls, the TRS failed to perform in the last five years. People of Hyderabad are suffering due to bad roads, poor drainage system, water logging, traffic jams, pollution, corruption of TRS corporators.
Though TRS is ruling Telangana state, Hyderabad city did not get any additional advantage of TRS ruling GHMC for the last five years.
All these factors contributed to people of Hyderabad expressing severe anger at TRS and are roaring to teach a fitting lesson to TRS in upcoming GHMC polls like Dubbak people did in recent Assembly bypoll.
With this, political observes say that the downfall of TRS will be complete in Telangana and it will be only a matter of time before it loses power in Telangana even in 2023 December Assembly polls.
