In a sudden development late on Saturday, June 6, 2020, the Telangana state government has decided to postpone the SSC public exams across the state scheduled to begin from June 8.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao issued directions to school education department officials to postpone the exams until further orders.
The decision follows after the Telangana High Court on Saturday, June 6, allowed state government to conduct SSC exams across the state from June 8 except in GHMC limits including Ranga Reddy and Medchal districts.
Though officials made all the arrangements to conduct exams from June 8, KCR felt that if exams are conducted separately for the rest of the state now and again for GHMC limits later, it would lead to lot of confusion and create troubles for both the students and the government.
In this backdrop, KCR directed officials to wait till the corona situation improved and atmosphere becomes conductive for conducting SSC exams simultaneously across the state.
