The Telangana state government is planning to conduct SSC pubic exams from May 17, 2021 to May 26, 2021.
Schools will be reopened for Class 9th and Class 10th (SSC) students in Telangana from February 1, 2021 after a gap of ten months.
Schools remain closed since March 2020 due to corona lockdown.
SSC Exams 2021 will be conducted only for 6 question papers this year.
Normally, SSC exams are conducted for 11 question papers every year. But due to loss of working days on account of corona lockdown, the SSC question papers were reduced to 6.
The total working days for SSC students for 2020-21 academic year will be 204 days.
Of this, 115 working days were through online classes from September 1, 2020 to January 30, 2021.
Students have to attend schools from February 1, 2021 to May 26, 2021 for 89 working days.
Schools will work from 9.30 am to 4.45 pm on all working days.
In Hyderabad, Secunderabad, schools will work from 8.45 am to 4 pm on all working days.
Teachers will take classes for only 70% of the total syllabus. SSC exams will be held for only 70% syllabus.
The remaining 30% syllabus will be in the form of project works, assignments etc.
This 30% syllabus will not be considered for SSC public exams, internal assessments, summative assessments.
However, the state government made it clear that attendance is not mandatory even after reopening of schools on February 1, 2021.
Choice is left to students and parents whether to attend school or not.
Schools should hold online classes for students who don't attend schools.
Schools should allow all students for SSC exams irrespective of attendance.
The last working day for SSC students will be May 26, 2021.
Summer vacation will be from May 27 to June 13, 2021.
The SSC exams schedule will be as below:
Formative Assessment-I: Before March 15, 2021
Formative Assessment-II: Before April 15, 2021
SSC public exams: From May 17 to May 26, 2021.
For Class 9th students: Summative Assessment exams from May 7 to May 13, 2021.
