Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who started demolition of existing Secretariat on July 7, 2020, has released the new Telangana Secretariat design, which will be constructed in the same place after demolition works are completed.
The new Secretariat is estimated to cost over Rs 500 crore.
KCR is planning to launch construction works in the auspicious Shravana Masam.
KCR is aiming to complete new Secretariat in a year and inaugurate the new Secretariat on the occasion of Dasara next year in 2021.
The six-storied integrated new Secretariat complex resembles historical designs of Nizam rulers and Kakatiya rulers of Telangana.
The new Secretariat also houses offices of commissionerates and directorates of various government departments which are now working in different locations across Hyderabad.
