Telangana Inter Exams 2022: TSBIE IPE 2022: Revised Exam Pattern: Latest Update

Students appearing for the Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE), April 2022, will have more choices among questions to choose from.

The TSBIE (Telangana State Board of Intermediate) Education is all set to further increase choices in the question papers in the upcoming Inter Board Exams IPE 2022.

Inter Board Exams (IPE 2022) are expected to be held from May 2, 2022.

Last year, TSBIE has significantly increased choices for students in question papers in IPE 2021 board exams to reduce stress among students as they lost classes for months due to Covid pandemic. There were no choices for science group students (MPC, BiPC) for 2 marks questions last year in 2021. This year, choices will be given for 2 marks questions for MPC, BiPC students in 2022 board exams.

Till now, students were asked to attempt 10 out of 10 questions. Now, these questions will be increased to 15 and students will be asked to attempt only 10 questions for science group students.

For Arts groups students, students were asked to attempt 3 out of 6 questions of 10 marks each earlier. Now, these questions will be increased to 7 and students have to attempt 3 questions.

Earlier, students were asked to attempt 8 out of 16 questions of 5 marks each. These questions will be increased to 18 and students have to attempt 8 questions.

Despite increasing choice for students last year, the recent results of first year exams proved that it did not benefit students as more than half of the students failed in first year exams.

This apart, the IPE 2022 will be conducted covering 70 per cent of the total syllabus in each subject. The State government has accorded permission to the Board to reduce the syllabus by 30 per cent in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Last year too, inter exams were conducted covering 70 per cent of the total syllabus as the physical classes could not be held due to the pandemic.
