The Telangana state government is all set to cancel degree and PG exams (under graduate and post graduate courses) for the academic year 2019-20.
The degree exams for first, second and final year students for 2019-20 academic year could not be held due to corona lockdown since March 2020.
Similarly, the first and second year PG exams were not held
The government is planning to promote degree first and second year students to next year without conducting final exams.
Similarly, the final year students will be declared passed based on their performance in first and second years and internal marks in final year. Likewise, PG first year students will be promoted to final year and final year students will be declared passed without exams based on first year and internal marks.
Final year students of UG and PG courses will get degree certificates without exams.
Officials of higher education department submitted proposals to this effect to state government. After government's approval, degree and PG exams will be cancelled and students will be promoted.
The Telangana government had already cancelled SSC public exams this year due to corona lockdown and promoted students to next class based on internal assessment marks.
