Friends turned foes TDP and BJP are all set to join hands again in Andhra Pradesh to take on ruling YSRCP in upcoming 2024 Assembly and Lok Sabha polls. TDP and BJP which formed government in 2014 parted ways before 2019 polls over the issue of special category status to AP, the promise not kept by BJP-led NDA government later..
This was predicted by none other than ABN-Andhra Jyothy group managing director Vemuri Radha Krishna in his weekly column "Kotha Paluku" published in his media group every Sunday. Radhakrishna in his column on June 7, 2020, Sunday has written that several YSRCP MPs and MLAs are preparing to defect to BJP and TDP in the coming days if they are guaranteed tickets in 2024 elections as they feel that TDP-BJP alliance will come to power in 2024.
Radhakrishna cited the recent voice of dissent being openly raised by several YSRCP MPs and MLAs against their own Jagan government in AP.
Radhakrishna said several YSRCP MPs and MLAs are unable to bear the arrogant and dictatorial attitude of CM Jagan over the past one year and are ready to revolt against Jagan at an appropriate time.
He says YSRCP MPs and MLAs are also upset at Jagan for failing to deliver anything concrete in the first one year despite people giving huge majority to YSRCP in 2019 Assembly, Lok Sabha polls.
He says YSRCP MPs and MLAs feel that except delivering on few cash transfer schemes to beneficiaries, Jagan could not achieve any major development in AP over the past one year.
