TANA celebrates Fathers' Day in US with Global poetry competitions in Telugu language

June 22, 2020: The Telugu Association of North America (TANA) celebrates Fathers day on Sunday by organising Global Poetry Competitions in Telugu Language.

TANA received 750 poems from across the globe for the completions “ GhanuDu Naana Tyagadhanudu Naana “.

Well known Film Lyricist Mounasri Mallik, Khammam Lady Jayasri Muvva and Warangal Professor Rama Chandra Mouli won TANA’s Global Poetry Competitions.

On Sunday late night the names of the winners were announced by famous lyricist Padma Shri Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry and Famous Film Artist, poet Tanikella Bharani on behalf of TANA. 

Competitions Coordinator  Chigurumala Srinivas informed that the celebrations were conducted on  Zoom App Conference by the president of TANA Jayashekhar Talluri.

Chairman of the TANA Foundation, Niranjan Srinagarvaram, Venom Foundation  Chairman Murali Vennam head of "BaitGraph Studio" Prashanth, Coordinator  Chigurumala Srinivas, RajaKasukurti other elders participated. Dr Kalageetha, Kiran Prabha acted as judges to these global competitions.

Speaking on this occasion, Sirivennela Seetarama Sastry said  " Father's sacrifices are unforgettable. Father is not only for the development of the children but he indirectly influences Society“  He appreciated all the winners and appreciated the organizers for conducting such a massive programme by TANA.

Tanikella Bharani said that it is very inspiring that TANA organize poetry competitions on the topic Father. He read out a few lines of famous poets poetry on Father in Telugu Literature. 

About 41 people received special prizes and another 70 were given encouragement prizes. Participants from two Telugu states besides Africa, Oman, Beharine, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha and Maharashtra wrote exquisite poems.
