The Andhra Pradesh government is planning to reopen all schools in the state from the last week of August.
The schools remain closed since March due to corona outbreak and subsequent lockdown.
The new academic year (2020-21) should commence in the second week of June as per original schedule. However, the academic year was delayed due to increasing corona cases across the state.
AP Education minister A Suresh on Saturday, June 27, 2020 told media in Vijayawada that the state government is planning to reopen schools from August last week.
The minister launched a toll free number "1800 123 123124" for the convenience of students and parents.
The minister said students and parents can lodge any complaints/ problems against any school and the government will inquire into them and resolve their grievances besides initiating stringent action against errant schools which trouble students and parents.
