A mandamus writ has been filed in the Telangana High Court on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 seeking the release of a health bulletin on the health condition of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
The petition was filed by Naveen, who is popularly known as "Theenmaar Mallanna" for his shows in Telangana dialect in V6 news channel earlier.
The petitioner brought to the notice of the court that Telangana people are concerned over the health condition of KCR after KCR left Pragathi Bhavan and residing at his farmhouse in Erravelli on Hyderabad city outskirts for the past one week.
The petitioner said there were reports in media that about 20 staff working in Pragathi Bhavan contracted coronavirus due to which KCR left Pragathi Bhavan and residing in farmhouse.
The petitioner informed court that KCR was not seen in public nor in media conferences nor in official review meetings for the past one week due to which people are worried over the health condition of KCR. He said social media platforms are abuzz with speculations over KCR's health condition causing more worry to Telangana people.
The petitioner urged High Court to give directions to state government to issue health bulletin of KCR immediately to clear doubts over the health condition of KCR.
