Owaisi's dual stand: Objects Modi's Ayodhya event, what about KCR?

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi openly displayed his 'dual stand' on secularism.

Owaisi's on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, strongly opposed Prime Minister Narendra Modi attending the foundation staying laying ceremony for the construction of Ayodhya Ram temple on August 5, 2020.

Owaisi tweeted, "Attending Bhumi Puja in official capacity will be a violation of @PMOIndia‘s constitutional oath. Secularism is part of the Basic Structure of Constitution, We can’t forget that for over 400 years Babri stood in Ayodhya & it was demolished by a criminal mob in 1992,” Owaisi.

But Owaisi should remind that his close friend, who is Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, takes part in religious programmes day in and day out.

KCR frequently visits all the temples, conduct yagams on a grand scale in his capacity as CM, acts as per the directions of Chinna Jeeyar Swamy and other babas.

When KCR does all this openly in Owaisi's home city Hyderabad, which Owaisi represents as MP in Lok Sabha, he never objected.

But when Modi is visiting Ayodhya to lay foundation for Ram Mandir, which has been one of the major poll planks of BJP, Owaisi is objecting.

"Does KCR conducting yagams, visiting temples, ashrams in his capacity as CM more frequently not amounts to violation of constitution oath he took as CM and securalism?" Owaisi needs to answer.

Just because TRS and KCR are allies of AIMIM, the constitutional norms cannot be different.
