NEET UG 2021 for admissions into MBBS and BDS courses across India is most likely to be held in online mode for the first time in 2021 due to corona pandemic situation in the country.
Moreover, the central government is planning to hold this online exam twice in 2021 to give two chances to students and destress them as the current academic year 2020-21 got completely disturbed due to corona lockdown and closure of all educational institutions since March 2020.
Students are attending classes only in online mode since March 2020.
NEET is currently held in traditional pen-paper format.
Lakhs of students appear for this exam across India every year.
Since students who want to appear for NEET are already attending online classes and appearing for practice NEET tests in online mode since March 2020, the central government feels that it would be easier for students to appear for NEET 2021 in online mode like JEE Main students, who write exam in online mode.
