Nara Lokesh shocks TRS Govt!

Nara Lokesh, TDP general secretary and son of TDP chief and former AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu shocked TRS government in Telangana after a long time.

Lokesh tweeted taking a dig at TRS government for failing to constitute a Women's Commission in Telangana State so far even after shocking incidents like Disha case, rape cases and atrocities against women are being witnessed in Telangana regularly.

Lokesh raised hashtag #TSNeedsWomenCommission on twitter demanding TRS government to set up women commission at the earliest.

Lokesh made this demand on behalf of Telangana TDP.

TTDP lost its presence in Telangana since Chandrababu shifted his base from Hyderabad to Amaravathi when he was AP CM in 2015.

Subsequently, KCR wiped out TDP from Telangana by taking all TDP MLAs and other leaders into TRS.

Though Chandrababu tried to revive TDP in Telangana by forming grand alliance comprising of TDP, Congress, TJS, Left Parties etc during 2018 December Telangana Assembly polls, it failed miserably as TRS won Assembly polls with a landslide majority.

Since then, Chandrababu and Lokesh are maintaining completing silence on Telangana politics. They are not making any statements on Telangana politics.

However, after nearly two years, Lokesh made his entry into Telangana politics with this critical tweet on TRS government. Naturally, this triggered severe criticisms from TRS leaders and cadre who are warning Lokesh and Chandrababu not to meddle with Telangana politics as they were already chased out of Telangana.

Lokesh tweet is being viewed as a 'strategic move' ahead of GHMC elections expected in December 2020.

Apparently, Chandrababu and Naidu are planning to revive TDP in Telangana by bagging few seats in GHMC elections believing that Seemandhra voters in Hyderabad, who comprise a major chunk will vote for TDP this time.

They believe that once TDP bags few seats in GHMC polls, it will automatically revive TDP in Hyderabad as well as in Telangana as disgruntled leaders in TRS, Congress, BJP and other parties who are once part of TDP and also others, will rejoin TDP and party will able to give a tough fight to TRS by 2023 December Telangana Assembly polls.
