The ball in now in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's court whether to postpone JEE Main,NEET 2020 entrance exams or not.
The union ministry of HRD late on Thursday, July 2, 2020 is learnt to have referred the issue of postponing JEE Main, NEET 2020 exams to PM Modi.
PM Modi has reportedly convened a meeting with union HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal and senior officials of UMHRD in New Delhi on Friday, July 3, 2020 to discuss and take a decision on postponement of NEET, JEE Main 2020 exams.
The meeting assumes significance in the backdrop of lakhs of students and their parents demanding postponement of JEE Main, NEET in the wake of coron pandemic across the country.
The NTA has already been directed to submit a report on the postponement on NEET, JEE Main exams on Friday. PM Modi will examine this report on Friday and take a final decision to postpone NEET, JEE Main exams.
