The upcoming Dubbaka Assembly bypoll in November 2020 and GHMC elections anytime after December 2020 have become more crucial for TRS chief and Telangana CM KCR's son K T Rama Rao and KCR's nephew T Harish Rao.
In fact both the hi-profile TRS leaders are facing 'litmus test'.
KCR has entrusted the task of TRS winning Dubbaka seat to Harish Rao.
KCR has left the task of TRS winning GHMC polls to KTR.
Though TRS is winning all elections in Telangana since formation of Telangana State in 2014 with record majority, the party has now realised that it's not going to be cakewalk no more for TRS in Dubbaka and GHMC polls.
This is because TRS won on "Telangana sentiment" all these days but there is no more Telangana sentiment now as Telangana State is a reality now and people started assessing TRS based on its performance over the past six years.
With TRS failing to living up to the expectations of Telangana people, it is now facing severe anti-incumbency. Moreover, the Opposition Congress, BJP are giving a tough fight to TRS now.
In these circumstances, it remains to be seen how KTR and Harish will accomplish the tasks set by KCR for upcoming polls.
