The developments on Monday, July 6, 2020 once again indicated that all is not well between Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan.
The governor had summoned chief secretary Somesh Kumar and health secretary Santi Kumari to Raj Bhavan on July 6, 2020 to discuss on corona situation in Telangana which has reached alarming levels for the past one week with nearly 2,000 cases reported each day and out of this over 1,000 are reported from Hyderabad alone.
However, KCR also held a review meeting at Corona at the same time due to which CS and health secretary could not attend Governor's meeting. This has caused a lot of embarrassment for Governor as several tweeter to her saying that she was not given respect by the government and the officials by skipping her meeting.
The governor is now planning to hold the meeting on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Raj Bhavan.
It remains to be seen how governor reacts on officials skipping the meeting even after they were called for.
Governor has been openly expressing dissatisfaction over the mishandling of corona crisis by KCR government for quite some time. She is upset at the poor testing in Telangana, while neighbouring Andhra Pradesh already created a record by doing over 10 lakh corona tests so far while Telangana stands nowhere near AP by conducting just 1.15 lakh tests so far.
