TRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, his son, IT and municipal minister K T Rama Rao leave no occasion to boast about how TRS government has turned Hyderabad into a global city during their six-year rule.
Of late, both are boasting that TRS government has spent Rs 67,000 crore to develop Hyderabad in the last six years and made it a global city.
During 2016 GHMC elections, KCR, KTR promised to make Hyderabad as "Dallas" in US. On some occasions they said they will make Hyderabad like Istanbul.
Now that GHMC polls are expected in a month or so or most likely in December 2020, both KCR and KTR again started making statements on how they made Hyderabad as global city by spending Rs 67,000 crore.
The rains during the last two days in Hyderabad exposed the shallowness of their boastful claims.
Heavy rains which lashed Hyderabad just for an hour or even lesser on October 9 and October 10, 2020, made Hyderabad look like "Venice City".
All the major junctions, lanes, bylanes in city turned into lakes and ponds with poor drainage water system and lack of storm water drainage system.
Hyderabad people realised that KCR and KTR have turned Hyderabad into a Venice by spending Rs 67,000 crore, if not Dallas or Istanbul.
People are taking a dig at KCR and KTR asking "Into whose pockets Rs 67,000 crore public money has gone?"
Are there any answers?
As GHMC polls are expected in a month or so, it's high time people of Hyderabad take a wise decision on how to teach KCR, KTR and TRS a lesson which they will remember for ever.
