The JNTU-Hyderabad will launch online classes for B.Tech and B.Pharmcy students in all engineering and pharmacy colleges in Telangana, affiliated to JNTUH, from August 24, 2020.
However, the online classes will be conducted in a limited mode.
Only four online classes per day will be allowed.
The online classes will be held for second, third, and fourth-year students.
JNTUH registrar Manzur Hussain said the TS Council of Higher Education has left the choice of conducting either three or four online classes per day.
The JNTUH has suggested colleges to hold three online classes before lunch session and one more class after lunch session.
The duration of each online class should be for one hour.
JNTUH will conduct a review on online classes after completion of one month and rectify deficiencies if any found during the one month.
The registrar said that online classes are being launched because the state government is yet to give the approval to start classroom teaching. He said the government has also not given approval to reopen hostels.
