The JNTU-Hyd has decided to conduct final semester exams for BE, B.Tech, MBA, MCA, B.Pharmacy, M Pharmacy, MTech students from September 16, 2020.
The UGC and AICTE have directed all the universities to conduct final semester UG/ PG exams without fail saying that if certificates are awarded to students without conducting exams, those certificates will have no value.
Students, parents and student organisations are demanding cancellation of all UG/ PG exams and promote students to next level without conducting exams in the wake of corona pandemic.
Cases were filed in Supreme Court and Telangana High Court seeking cancellation of exams. The courts verdict is expected next week.
Nearly 60,000 B Tech students are expected to appear for final semester examinations.
JNTUH has decided to allow students to take the examination in colleges which
are very close to their homes or native places. The 30-odd autonomous colleges in the purview of the JNTUH would set their question papers on their own. However, this time the
autonomous colleges are required to send the question papers to the JNTUH.
Since students of a college are taking the examination at various examination centres
in different places, the university would prepare a list of the students and supply the
question papers to the students.
