JEE Main, NEET: Subramanian Swamy to meet Modi today, calls Modi for postponement

BJP Rajya Sabha member Subramanian Swamy who is making relentless efforts to ensure postponement of JEE Main 2020 and NEET 2020 beyond Diwali in November, has decided to make a last bid effort today, August 31, 2020, to postpone the exams.

Swamy has decided to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi today at his residence and take up the issue of postponement of exams personally with him and explain Modi about the urgent need to take a decision immediately postponing exams in the wake of corona pandemic across India and in the wake of increasing protests from lakhs of students and parents across India demanding postponement of exams.

Swamy made a call to PM Modi's secretary seeking PM's appointment.

The secretary informed Swamy that he will take this to the notice of Modi and confirm his appointment.

Swamy tweeted, "I have phoned the PM residence this morning to try one last time for postponing NEET/ JEE exams beyond Deepavali. The office secretary said that he will call back. If that happens, I will inform students."

Swamy earlier tweeted that he will make a last and final attempt today for postponement of JEE/ NEET exams.

Students and parents are thanking Swamy for his relentless efforts to postpone JEE/ NEET exams and flooding social media with 'thank you Swamy' posts.
