JEE Main, NEET: 6 Oppn-ruled States file petition in Supreme Court seeking postponement

Six Cabinet ministers of opposition ruled West Bengal, Punjab, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand jointly filed a petition in Supreme Court today (Friday, August 28, 2020) seeking cancellation of National Eligibility Cum Entrance Examination (NEET-UG 2020) and JEE Main 2020 because of corona pandemic across the country.

NEET 2020 and JEE Main 2020 are scheduled to be held in September 2020.

The Supreme Court recently refused to postpone these exams as sought by students and parents.

The petitioners are Moloy Ghatak, West Bengal Minister,.

Dr. Rameshwar Oraon, Jharkhand Minister

Dr. Raghu Sharma , Government of Rajasthan Minister.

Amarjeet Bhagat, Chhattisgarh Minister.

Balbir Singh Sidhu, Punjab Minister.

Uday Ravindra Samant , Maharashtra Minister.
