JEE Main, NEET: Oppn parties to file petition in Supreme Court today seeking postponement

The state governments ruled by Opposition parties are all set to file a review petition in the Supreme Court today, August 28, 2020, Friday, urging Supreme Court to review its earlier orders on refusing to postpone JEE Main 2020, NEET 2020 exams scheduled to be held in September 2020 in the wake of corona pandemic situation across India.



The state governments of Punjab, Rajasthan, West Bengal etc have decided to file a review petition in the Supreme Court today.


Last week, the Supreme Court refused to postpone the exams as sought by students and parents.



With this, NTA has issued a notification to conduct NEET 2020 and JEE Main 2020 as scheduled in September 2020.



DMK president MK Stalin requested the Chief Ministers of all Opposition-ruled States to file a petition in the Supreme Court seeking postponement of exams.


Stalin requested CMs of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, YS Jagan and KCR, to file petitions in Supreme Court seeking postponement of exams.
