JEE Main 2020: Modi's own Gujarat students skip exam to protest Centre's refusal to postpone exams

The NDA government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi ignored the demand raised by crores of students and parents to postpone JEE Main 2020 and NEET 2020 exams. It has decided to conducted exams as scheduled. Accordingly, JEE Main exam started across India since yesterday, September 1, 2020, against the wishes and concerns of students and parents.

However, students and parents preferred to boycott exams in many states instead of risking their lives by appearing for exams in this corona pandemic situation across India.

Shockingly, students from Modi's own state Gujarat lead from the front in boycotting the exams.

Only 45% of total students appeared for JEE Exam on Day-1 in Gujarat on September 1 while the majority 65% skipped the exam.

Students and parents boycotted exams to express their anger at Modi government's refusal to postpone exams in September.

Even in Assam, less than 50% students appear for JEE.

Over 40% students skip JEE in Lucknow, Ludhiana.

Poor attendance was reported across India. The full details on attendance are awaited. The attendance is expected to dip further once full reports come today.
