Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy eagerly and openly supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi on all issues inside and outside the Parliament, has been creating a political furore.
While NDA government ally Akali Dal quit from Modi cabinet opposing farm bills in Parliament, Jagan, though not part of NDA, openly supported farm bills.
Jagan is coming under attack from all political parties opposing BJP.
The Congress came down heavily on Jagan and YSRCP Rajya Sabha member Vijayasai Reddy for supporting Modi on all issues.
Senior Congress leaders in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad and Anand Sharma said Jagan is supporting Modi not in the interests of AP or AP people but for his selfish interests.
They said Jagan is supporting Modi only for bail and to avoid jail in future in CBI and ED cases filed against him. They said Jagan is out on bail and he fears that his bail will be cancelled and he will be sent back to jail again if he opposed Modi and for this reason Jagan is supporting Modi and nothing else.
They said Jagan and Vijayasai Reddy looted thousands of crores of public money when late YSR was CM and both faced jail in the cases filed by CBI and ED.
They warned that the Congress will send Jagan and Vijayasai Reddy to their original place (jail) again when it comes back to power in 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
