Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy's recent stand towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become a subject of hot debate in political circles.
Jagan has become a 'yes man' for Modi. Whatever, Modi says, Jagan is simply reciprocating 'yes boss'.
Political circles are debating over this question: Is Jagan supporting Modi? or Has Jagan surrendered to Modi.
However, majority of the opinions conclude that Jagan has surrendered to Modi fearing CBI, ED cases filed against him in corruption and disproportionate assets cases.
This is because all the major regional parties in India like TRS, Trinamool Congress, JDS, BJP, Shiv Sena, NCP, AAP, Samajwadi Party, Akali Dal etc are opposing Modi's farm bills, power sector reforms and GST compensation to States issues tooth and nail on the ground that States will incur heavy losses on account of this.
But Jagan is openly supporting Modi on all these issues despite AP already facing severe financial crisis.
This naturally has given suspicion for leaders of all regional parties who believe that Jagan had in fact surrendered to Modi and not extending support to Modi fearing pending CBI, ED cases filed against him in 2012 for which Jagan already spent 16 months in Chanchalguda jail and out on bail and still facing trail in these cases even after becoming CM of AP in May 2019.
