TRS senior leader, Telangana finance minister T Harish Rao, who is also the nephew of TRS chief and Telangana CM KCR, is known as task master and a trouble shooter in TRS.
He accomplishes all the tasks whatever entrusted by KCR.
But there is a general feeling not only in TRS but in political circles across Telugu States that KCR sidelined Harish after KCR became CM for second term in December 2018.
KCR giving prominence only to his son KTR and made him party's working president in December 2018 with a view to project his son KTR as "CM in waiting" and his 'heir apparent'.
Despite this, Harish is working sincerely and committedly for TRS.
Harish is now made in charge of Dubbaks Assembly bypoll expected in November to ensure the victory of TRS candidate following the death of sitting TRS MLA Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy last month.
Harish is working day and night in Dubbaka for the victory of TRS even though the election notification is yet to be issued.
But rumours are spreading in TRS like wildfire that there is a 'strategy' to weaken Harish in TRS by entrustign him Dubbaka bypoll.
It is rumoured that BJP is fielding M Raghunandan Rao for Dubbaka seat and his victory is certain.
This is because Raghunandan belongs to Velama community, the same community to which KCR family belongs. Velamas call the shots in Medak politics and Dubbaka falls under Undivided Medak district.
It is learnt that the Velama community has decided to ensure the victory of Raghunandan to see that a Velama MLA represents BJP in Telangana Legislative Assembly. They don't want a Reddy to get elected from Dubbaka again from TRS since TRS is planning to give Dubbaka ticket to late MLA Ramalinga Reddy's wife.
Rumours are rife that if TRS loses Dubbaka bypolls, the TRS government has nothing to lose but Harish will be further weakened in TRS and also in the TRS cabinet on the ground that he failed to ensure party's victory as in charge of Assembly bypoll.
In a way, it is rumoured that KCR is deliberately making Harish a 'scapegoat' in Dubbaka bypoll for his political strategy to make his son more KTR more stronger in both the party and the government.
