Hyderabad college dropout poses as valet and steals a car

A college dropout in Hyderabad posed as a valet in front of a hotel and stole a car in Hyderabad.

He was arrested by Kukatpally police on Monday, June 22, 2020.

Mohammed Adil, the 23-year old college dropout was a student of Holy Mary College in Kukatpally. He dropped out of college in the second year of his degree course and started working as a delivery boy for a food delivery service

According to the Police, to show off in front of his friends that he owns a car, Adil hatched a plan to steal a car. On June 19, 2020 he parked his bike in front of Pista house restaurant in Nizampet and waited for the opportune moment. A car arrived and Adil pretended to be from the valet service and took the car keys from the driver to park it in the cellar. However, as soon as Adil got into the car, he sped away.

On Monday morning, during vehicle checking at Nizampet cross roads, police officials stopped Adil when he was driving the stolen car. When asked for documents, Adil tried fleeing the place. However, he was apprehended immediately. Upon interrogation, he confessed to the crime.

Kukatpally police took him into custody and are investigating.
