Honour killing in Gachibowli, Hyd, man brutally murdered by killers hired by girl's father

Honour killing incident came to light in IT corridor of Hyderabad, Gachibowli today, September 25, 2020, Friday.

A man was brutally murdered by a supari gang in Sangareddy on city outskirts after he was kidnapped from his house in TNGOs colony in Gachibowli.

The supari to kill him was given by Laxma Reddy, father of the girl Avanthi, who married against the wishes of her parents and family member.

The deceased was identified as Hemanth, a resident of Chandanagar in Hyderabad.

He fell in love with a girl who is his neigbour. The girl also loved him. Both have decided to marry.

However, the girl's parents and her family members strongly objected the marriage. They locked her in the house and started looking for a groom to perform her marriage.

Later, the girl somehow eloped from the house and met Hemanth.

Both got married at Santhoshimatha temple in BHEL, Hyderabad in June.

They settled in TNGOs colony later.

Unable to bear his daughter marrying against his wishes, the girl's father hired killers to murder Hemanth.

The hired killers along with few girl's family members kidnapped the couple from their house yesterday, September 24, at 3 pm and forcibly took them in a car.

However, the girl escaped from the car later. But the killers did not leave Hemanth.

He was taken to an isolated place in Sangareddy on city outskirts and was brutally murdered.

The girl lodged a police complaint with Gachibowli police. They booked kidnap case.

The boy's parents also lodged a complaint with Chandangar police, who booked missing case.

The police inquired into the incident and found Hemant's dead body in Sangareddy today morning, September 25.

Police could trace the dead body based on the information given by the girl's father.

The honour killing created a sensation in Hyderabad today as it came exactly two years after Pranay was killed in Miryalaguda in Nalgonda district by a killer hired by girl's father Maruthi Rao who was angry at his daughter Amrutha marrying a dalit against his wishes.
