TRS senior leader and Telangana finance minister T Harish Rao has reportedly offered to resign to his minister post owning moral responsibility for the defeat of TRS in Dubbaka Assembly bypoll, the result of which was declared on Tuesday, November 10, 2020.
TRS suffered shocking defeat though by a slender margin at the hands of BJP in Dubbaka.
It may be recalled that TRS chief and Telangana CM KCR has entrusted the entire task of ensuring TRS victory in Dubbaka to his nephew T Harish Rao.
KCR and his son KTR even stayed away from campaigning in Dubbaka.
Since Harish was given entire responsibility and he failed to deliver the result, Harish is reportedly very upset and offered to quit from the KCR's cabinet and set an example to others in the party that only those who perform should get minister or any other posts in the party and in the government.
However, TRS party sources said that KCR and KTR asked Harish not to resign at this stage as it will further weaken the party and give scope for speculations that all is not well within KCR's family and TRS party.
