GHMC Polls: Each vote costs Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000

Due to tough fight between TRS and BJP in the GHMC elections to be held on December 1, 2020, the price of vote is learnt to have skyrocketed to unprecedented levels.

Candidates from TRS and BJP are competing with each other not just in campaigning but also in distribution of cash and liquor to lure voters.

As the campaigning ended at 6 pm today, Nov 29, 2020, the parties and candidates are focussed on distribution of cash and liquor ahead of polling on December 1, 2020.

Candidates are offering Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000 per vote depending on the tough fight put up by the rivals.

The ruling TRS used to dominate in distribution of cash and liquor in Telangana earlier.

Now BJP too is not going back and giving a tough competition to TRS in distribution of cash and liquor.

Candidates have set up their own network with their followers to distribute cash in online mode through various mobile payment Apps.

Election officials and police departments are unable to check this menace as transactions are happening in online cash transfer mode and no one is carrying cash in their hands.
