The Telangana state government on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 announced postponement of all Common Entrance Tests 2020 (CETs) including Eamcet, Icet, Edcet, Polycet etc, which were scheduled in July.
The TS State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) postponed the CETs saying that the decision was taken in the wake of increasing corona cases across the state and keeping in view the safety and health of students.
Earlier, the state government informed the Telangana High Court on Tuesday that it has decided to postpone all the CETS scheduled in July due to corona situation.
The High Court heard the petition filed by students union NSUI seeking postponement of CETs in July.
As per the schedule announced by the government earlier, the TS EAMCET was to be held from July 6 to 9. The Postgraduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PECET) was to be conducted from July 1 to 3 and the Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET) on July 4.
Likewise, the Law Common Entrance Test and PG Law Common Entrance Test was scheduled on July 10 and the Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) and Education Common Entrance Test (Edcet) was on July 13 and 15 respectively.
The revised dates will be announced later, the TSCHE said.
