Dubbaka bypoll: It's fight between TRS & BJP, nowhere Cong

The Dubbaka bypoll scheduled to be held on November 3, 2020 has turned out to be a battle between the ruling TRS and BJP.

Though Congress is the main opposition in Telangana, the party stands no where in the contest.

TRS has fielded Solipeta Sujatha Reddy, wife of late Dubbaka MLA Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy, while BJP has fielded M Raghunandan Rao.

The Congress has fielded Cheruku Srinivas Reddy, son of late Cheruku Muthyam Reddy, a strong Congress leader when he was alive who joined TRS in November 2018 and died in September 2019.

Despite this, the Congress has failed to give a tough fight to TRS in the Dubbaka bypoll.

The BJP on the other hand took Dubbaka bypoll very seriously. Right from BJP's national top leader Amit Shah to union minister Kishan Reddy, all BJP leaders are fully focussed and campaigning in Dubbaka.

Raghunandan Rao, who enjoys the support of youth and locals in Dubbaka is giving TRS a run for the money.

TRS minister T Harish Rao has been camping in Dubbaka for the past one month clearly indicating how TRS is taking this election very seriously.

Normally, this election should be a cakewalk for TRS. But due to the tough fight given by BJP, TRS chief and CM KCR has roped in Harish Rao and all top TRS leaders of Undivided Medak district in support of TRS candidate Sujatha.
