It seems all is not well between Telangana Chief Miniser K Chandrasekhar Rao and Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan.
Speculations are rife that a 'cold war' is brewing between KCR and Tamilisai for quite sometime, which is now becoming public.
KCR maintained a close relationship with previous Governor ESL Narasimhan. In fact, he used to visit Raj Bhavan to meet Narasimhan almost once in every week.
But after Tamilisai took over Raj Bhavan in September 2019, KCR is avoiding Raj Bhavan. He hardly visited Raj Bhavan at least six or seven times during the last 9 months.
KCR is reportedly upset at Governor 'interfering' with the administration of his government.
Governor recently visited NIMS hospital after several doctors, staff infected with coronavirus. Speaking to media their, she expressed concern over low testing of corona cases in Telangana.
Governor of late is also holding several review meetings on health and education sectors with officials at Raj Bhavan, which is not going down well with KCR government.
KCR is reportedly upset at governor not giving intimation to government on these meetings and holding meetings independently.
Governor's comments and actions are providing ammunition to Opposition parties to attack KCR government on inept handling of corona situation and sorry state of affairs in health and education sectors. Governor's review meetings with officials of all universities is bringing to light the sad state of affairs in universities, which are running without funds and not even VCs for the past one year.
All these factors are learnt to have made KCR angry and widened the gap between him and governor.
Popular English Daily "Times of India" even carried a report prominently on the tussle between KCR and Governor in its issue dated June 21, 2020, Sunday.
