The Supreme Court of India will hear the petitions seeking cancellation of all UG, PG exams across the country and promote students without conducting exams due to corona pandemic today (July 27, 2020 Monday)
The petition was filed by 31 students across the country challenging the UGC decision to make final semster/ year exams 2020 compulsory for college and university students amid the on-going corona pandemic.
The petition filed by 31 students sought promotion of students to next level based on their performance in previous semesters/ years.
The Supreme Court's 3 judge bench headed by Justice Ashok Bhushan will hear the case today. The bench also includes Justice R Subhash Reddy and Justice MR Shah. The petition has been lined up for hearing along with three other similar petitions filed on the same matter. Two more petitions seeking cancellationo of UG/ PG exams across the country were filed by law student Yash Dubey and Aadtiya Thackeray's Yuva Sena petition.
