BREAKING: Andhra schools reopening, exams, holidays schedule, revised syllabus

The Andhra Pradesh government has devised academic schedule for all schools in the state for the current academic year 2020-21.

Accordingly, all schools in AP will open on September 5, 2020.

The schools in the new academic year 2020-21 was supposed to commence on June 13, 2020.

However, the academic year got delayed by over three months due to corona pandemic.

The government has decided to cut syllabus for all students in schools by 30% to make up for the loss of academic year by three months.

Accordingly, Formative Assessment-I exams will be held in October 2020.

Summative Assessment-I exams will be held in January 2021.

Formative Assessment-II will be held in March 2021 and Summative Assessment-II will be held in April 2021.

Dasara vacation will be from October 22 to 26, 2020, Christmas vacation will be from December 24 to 28, 2020 and Sankranthi vacation will be from January 12 to 17, 2020.

Normally, there will be 220 working days for schools in an academic year.

But due to corona situation, the working days were reduced to 181 days this year.
