The demand for postponement of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) entrance tests is growing louder on social media platform Twitter, amid growing coronavirus cases in India.The exam is scheduled from August 16 to 31.

Students are expressing ire at BHU officials for deciding to hold exams when the corona situation has reached dangerous levels in India and forcing students to write exams risking their lives.
Over 33,000 tweets were posted on Twitter by students demanding postponement of exams.
Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Uttar Pradesh is making arrangements to conduct the postgraduate entrance test, or BHU PET 2020, and the undergraduate entrance test, or BHU UET 2020, from August 16 to August 31, 2020.
There is great demand for seats in BHU across India as BHU is considered as one of the Top-20 universities in India with reputed track record and good placements.
It remains to be seen whether BHU officials heed to the students demand and postpone exams or go ahead with exams as scheduled.
