Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET 2021) will be delayed further.
The delay is because of the state government's decision to change the syllabus for TET exam.
TET qualification is mandatory to appear for DSC teacher recruitment exams and also for securing jobs in the government or private sector.
The state government has directed AP State Education Research and Training (SCERT) to draft new syllabus for TET.
SCERT is expected to finalise the revised syllabus by January 1, 2021.
Later, the state government has to approve TET revised syllabus.
After this, the government will conduct the TET exam in online mode.
However, the service providers have expressed an inability to conduct TET in online mode till March 2021 citing a lack of online slots due to a busy schedule of other online exams.
AP TET 2021 is expected to be held in either March or April 2021.
