There is total confusion prevailing in Andhra Pradesh over AP Eamcet Engineering 2020 Counselling. The YSRCP government headed by Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has miserably failed in commencing Eamcet counseling not only for engineering but also AP NEET counselling 2020 for MBBS/ BDS admissions.
The APSCHE has issued notification for AP Eamcet 2020 counselling on October 23, 2020.
Students were asked to pay processing fee and attend for certificate verification in helpline centres across AP till October 27.
However, the YSRCP government failed to finalise fee structure for engineering courses. It also failed to accord approvals to engineering colleges which are eligible for inclusion in Eamcet engineering counselling.
With this, the deadline for processing fees, certificate verification was extended till November 3, 2020.
Even after, the YSRCP government failed to finalise fee and engineering colleges list.
With this, Eamcet officials were forced to shut down helpline centres across AP.
With this, students and parents are tensed when Eamcet counselling will commence and when they will be allowed to exercise web options to select colleges and courses of their choice.
Already 86,869 students have paid processing fees and attended certificate verification. Of them, 85.702 students were declared eligible to exercise web options.
But the officials are yet to allow students to exercise web options, thanks to CM Jagan' failure in fixing fees and finalising engineering colleges list for counselling.
On the other hand, the managements of private engineering colleges are exploiting this confusing situation to their advantage and selling management quota seats for lakhs of rupees.
Students are worried whether any management quota seats will be left for them if they don't get desired college and course in Eamcet counselling.
