Over 2.28 lakh candidates have registered for AP EAMCET 2020 for the admission into Engineering, Agriculture & Pharma courses.
AP Eamcet 2020 will be held from September 17 to 25 across Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad in Telangana state.
The exam was postponed earlier due to corona pandemic.
118 exam centres were set up to conduct the EAMCET examination in online mode that would be held in two shifts/
The morning session would commence from 9 am to 12 noon while the afternoon session will be held from 3 pm to 6 pm. Three AP EAMCET centres have been arranged in Hyderabad.
Measures were taken to ensure safety of the candidates and the staff during the examination time. Candidates are told to come two hours prior to the scheduled exam time to the centre wearing masks and gloves. Candidates are subjected to thermal screening at the entrance of exam centre. Those with a higher temperature will write the exam in an isolation room that are allocated at all the exam centres. PPE kits will be provided to the staff in these rooms.
More than 100 candidates have applied for EAMCET after the AP CET authorities had given relaxation to the candidates to apply for EAMCET with a late fee of Rs 10,000 till September 15 in the wake of Covid restrictions in the state. Parents were asked not to accompany the candidates to the exam centre during the pandemic.
Additional security and volunteers are deployed at all the centres and barricades are arranged to control the people. Wearing masks and gloves is mandatory to staff and staff for special rooms will be provided PPE kit. Sanitisers will be kept handy and liquid soaps will be made available in washrooms.
Strict Covid protocols will be followed in EAMCET exams at all the exam centres in both AP and TS. Less than 20,000 candidates will be allowed for each session keeping in view of the corona situation.
Candidates were asked to reach the exam centre two hours before the scheduled time.
