After cancelling SSC and Intermediate public exams recently, the Andhra Pradesh government is preparing ground to cancel exams for degree (under graduate) and post graduate courses in the wake of rising corona cases in AP and keeping in view the safety of students.
AP Education minister A Suresh is holding a review meeting with higher education department officials today (Tuesday, June 23, 2020) to discuss and take their feedback on this issue.
The government is planning to cancel exams for BA, BSc, B.Com, MA, M.Sc, M.Com courses.
It is also planning to cancel exams even for professional courses like B.Tech, BE, B.Ed, M.Tech, ME, MBA, MCA, LLM courses etc.
After taking the feedback from officials, the minister will refer the issue to Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who is expected to take a final decision on cancellation of all UG and PG exams in Andhra Pradesh in a day or two.
