Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan has chose to wait for three more days to take a final decision on whether to conduct or cancel degree (UG), post graduate (PG) final semester exams in the wake of increasing corona cases in the state.
Education minister A Suresh and officials of higher education department met CM at his Tadepalli residence a submitted a report on the feedback given by vice chancellors of all universities on UG, PG semester exams.
Majority of the VCs felt that it would be difficult to conduct exams at this stage due to increasing corona cases in state.
However, Jagan told minister and officials that government cannot take decision in a hurry on this sensitive and important issue and it would be better to analyse deeply on the pros and cons what if exams are held and if exams are cancelled.
Jagan gave three more days time for minister and officials to review the issue thoroughly and submit a report to him based on which the government will take a final decision on UG and PG exams.
