AP CM Jagan's sudden trip to Delhi, Is it for capital shifting?

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has planned a trip to Delhi all of a sudden.

YSRCP sources said Jagan has decided to go to Delhi on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 and had sought the appointment to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and home minister Amit Shah.

Though the sources claimed that Jagan's visit was just a 'courtesy call' on the occasion of Jagan completing one year as CM recently on May 30 and to seek blessings of Modi and Amit Shah, speculations are rife that Jagan's Delhi trip is aimed for 'political reasons'.

Jagan government is facing the wrath of AP High Court over the various decisions taken by Jagan in the recent past. It is speculated that Jagan wants to explain Modi and Amit Shah about the series of High Court judgements against his government.

Jagan also wants to seek Modi and Amit Shah to pass a bill in the Parliament seeking abolition of AP Legislative Council at the earliest so that he can shift the capital from Amaravathi to Vizag.

Jagan also wants to seek special financial assistance to AP in the wake of financial crisis on account of corona lockdown.
