AP CM Jagan resorts to 'secret sale' of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) properties

A shocking news on sale of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) properties surfaced on Saturday.

The TTD board has decided to sell off 23 TTD properties through public auction.

The TTD board had even appointed two committees to oversee the sale of TTD properties.

These properties worth several thousands of crores of rupees are spread over 23 locations in Tamil Nadu.

As soon as the news broke out, Hindus across the world lashed out at Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy for hurting the sentiments of Hindus by auctioning the properties of Lord Venkateshwara, world's richest and most revered God.

Because the decision to auction properties was taken by TTD board headed by TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy, who is the maternal uncle of AP CM YS Jagan. He appointed his uncle as TTD chairman soon after becoming AP CM in May 2019.

The decision on sale of properties was taken by TTD board in its meeting on February 29, 2020. However, it was kept a 'secret'. It came to light after TTD appointed two committees on May 23, 2020, to sell off properties.

Late YSR's family always stirred up controversy on TTD whenever they were in power.

When YS Rajasekhar Reddy was CM of Undivided AP from 2004 to 2009, h tried to develop a part of the Seven Hills of Tirumala into a tourist centre comprising multiplexes, food courts, commercial, sports and entertainment infrastructure, including a ropeway to reach the top of the hills. The AP High Court struck down a government order in this regard.

Now, Jagan as CM stirred up a controversy by deciding to sell off TDP properties.

Hindu organisations across the world always accused and suspected YSR family of conspiring against TTD and Hinduism alleging that YSR's family is a devout Christian family.

When late YSR was CM, he appointed his family member B Karunakar Reddy as TTD board chairman, which led to furore as Hindu organisations questioned appointed a member of a Christian devout family for the world's famous Hindu temple where crores of Hindu worship Lord Venkateshwara every year.

Jagan appointing again his family member YV Subba Reddy turned controversial over the same issue.

Hindus are raising suspicion on Jagan saying that why did he kept the decision on selling off TDP properties a 'secret' for the past three months when he was doing nothing wrong.

Hindu organisations and opposition parties are warning Jagan that "Tirumala Tirupati Venkateshwara Swamy is the most powerfuls god in the universe' and he will not spare anyone who touches his properties or devotees and the history is the proof for it.
