Andhra Pradesh New Districts, Revenue Divisions: Breaking News





The committee constituted by the Andhra Pradesh government to make recommendations on the formation of new districts has recommended increasing the districts in Andhra Pradesh from the existing 13 districts to 26 districts on January 10, 2021:




Present Districts: 13


Proposed New Districts: 26


List of proposed 26 New Districts: 1. Araku-1, 2. Araku-2, 3. Srikakulam, 4. Vizianagaram, 5. Visakhapatnam, 6. Anakapalle, 7. Kakinada, 8. Amalapuram, 9. Rajahmundry, 10. Narasapuram, 11. Eluru, 12. Machilipatnam, 13. Vijayawada, 14. Guntur, 15. Narasaraopeta, 16. Bapatla, 17. Ongole, 18. Nandyal, 19. Kurnool, 20. Anantapur, 21. Hindupur, 22. Kadapa, 23. Nellore, 24. Tirupati, 25. Rajampet, 26. Chittoor



Present Revenue Divisions: 51


No changes proposed in Revenue Devisions: Paderu, Narsipatnam, Rampachodavaram, Narsaraopeta, Gurajala, Markapuram, Dharmavaram, Penugonda, Kalyanadurgam, Kadiri.


Changes proposed in Revenue Divisions: 38


Newly set-up Revenue Divisions: 9 ( Bobbili, Bheemili, Tanuku, Nandigama, Chirala, Atmakuru, Bapatla, Palamaneru, Rayachoti)


Revenue Division proposed to be abolished: 3 (Atmakuru (Nellore), Yetapaka, Kukunoor)


Total proposed Revenue Divisions: 57
